Course note: “MD/MS” means postgraduate medical courses are listed for that institution; it does not mean every speciality is offered. Check the NMC postgraduate course matrix and current university seat matrix for the exact branch and intake. Anna Gowri and RVS are listed here for MBBS; no postgraduate offering is asserted for these two colleges.

Avoid similar-name confusion: NRI Medical College at Chinakakani and NRI Institute of Medical Sciences at Sangivalasa are separate colleges. Apollo Chittoor is different from Apollo Hyderabad. Sri Balaji at Renigunta is different from similarly named institutions outside Andhra Pradesh.

Private MBBS fees in Andhra Pradesh for 2026–27

G.O.Rt.No.785, dated 29 August 2026 notifies the following interim MBBS tuition for the academic year 2026–27:

Seat categoryAdmission categoryTuition for 2026–27
ACompetent Authority Quota₹18,150
BManagement Quota₹14,52,000
CNRI QuotaUp to ₹43,56,000

These are provisional academic-year tuition figures, not an all-inclusive course price. The order applies only to 2026–27. Final determination can result in a refund, adjustment or recovery of the difference. Obtain the college’s written fee statement and applicable order before payment.

The management-quota counselling instructions state that MBBS tuition is payable for 4½ academic years. An interim rate for one year does not establish the final tuition for the entire course; multiplying it by the 5½-year duration, which includes internship, would be misleading. Check the college’s approved instalment schedule and subsequent fee orders.

University fees and other budget items

The 2026–27 university counselling instructions separately specify the following MBBS university fees for downloading the allotment order:

CategoryUniversity feeOfficial reference
Competent Authority Quota₹12,600CQ counselling instructions
Private college Category B1 / B2₹35,100MQ counselling instructions
Private college Category C / NRI₹70,100MQ counselling instructions

Keep university fees separate from tuition. Ask for an itemised statement covering accommodation, food, transport, examination fees, refundable deposits and any other proposed payment, with its applicable authority. A college’s extra-charge list does not by itself establish that every charge is permitted. For planning, request hostel and mess quotations directly rather than treating a generic online estimate as an official college fee.

GITAM Institute of Medical Sciences and Research: address, contact and fees

GITAM Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (GIMSR) is the 21st private MBBS institution covered in this guide. It is a constituent institution of GITAM (Deemed to be University).

Merit fee concessions have conditions, including renewal requirements, so obtain a written scholarship decision before budgeting. For MD/MS, consult the separate GIMSR postgraduate admissions and fee page.

MD/MS fees in Andhra Pradesh private medical colleges: 2026–27

G.O.Rt.No.786, dated 29 August 2026 provides the following interim medical postgraduate fee rates for 2026–27:

Course groupCategory ACategory BCategory C: NRI / institutional
Clinical degree₹5,71,320₹11,42,640₹66,12,500

Pre-clinical degree₹80,937₹1,61,874₹10,58,000

These are academic-year rates under the state order, not complete programme costs. They are tentative for 2026–27 and subject to final determination and applicable court directions. The available speciality and category must appear in the current seat matrix. GIMSR has its own postgraduate fee schedule.

Super speciality fees

G.O.Rt.No.787, dated 29 August 2026 lists interim super speciality tuition of ₹19,83,750 for 2026–27 at GSL Medical College, Katuri Medical College, Narayana Medical College, NRI Medical College at Chinakakani, and Dr. Pinnamaneni Siddhartha Institute. This figure applies to the institutions named in the order; it is not a fee statement for every private college or every specialist programme.

Courses offered: what students should check

MBBS: This is the main undergraduate medical degree covered by the directory. The standard course structure includes 4½ academic years followed by one year of compulsory rotating internship. Admission requires the relevant NEET-UG qualification and eligibility under the current counselling rules.

MD/MS: Several colleges have postgraduate departments, but branch availability varies. Before selecting a speciality, check its exact name, approval, current intake and fee group. A college-level “MD/MS” listing should never replace verification of the particular seat offered to you.

DM/MCh and other specialist programmes: Selected institutions provide further specialist training. Use the applicable official course matrix and admission notification to confirm the entry qualification, entrance route and fee.

How to apply for private MBBS admission in Andhra Pradesh

  1. Check NEET-UG and academic eligibility. Read the current prospectus for educational qualifications, age, documentation and category conditions.
  2. Select the correct counselling route. Use Dr. NTR UHS notices for its affiliated colleges and MCC notices for GIMSR. Competent Authority and Management Quota applications have separate instructions.
  3. Verify local-area, minority and NRI conditions. Category B1/B2 and NRI eligibility are governed by the current prospectus. Do not assume the same residence rules apply to all seat categories.
  4. Register and upload the required documents. Follow the official schedule and payment portal linked by the counselling authority.
  5. Compare eligible choices. Review the current seat matrix, tuition, accommodation costs, location and teaching-hospital arrangements before arranging web options.
  6. Complete allotment and reporting. Pay the prescribed university fee where applicable, download the allotment letter and report within the stated deadline with original documents.
  7. Keep the written record. Retain the fee statement, receipts, scholarship terms and reporting acknowledgement. Read the applicable withdrawal and discontinuation conditions before joining.

A college enquiry or online interest form does not replace allotment through the authorised counselling process. Contact the college to clarify facilities and reporting requirements, then follow the official admission route.

Documents to prepare

Keep your NEET admit card and score/rank record, Class 10 and Class 12 certificates, identity proof, photographs and allotment documents ready. Depending on your category, the authority may also require study/residence records, transfer and conduct certificates, reservation or minority documents, and NRI sponsorship evidence. Use the current official checklist for the documents and formats that apply to you.

How to compare colleges before choosing web options

A useful shortlist starts with eligibility and affordability, then examines the teaching environment. Ask each college how clinical postings are organised, where the teaching hospital is located, what accommodation is available and which payments are due at reporting.

  • Verify the specific course: Match the exact college name and branch to the current NMC and counselling records.
  • Compare the whole budget: Add only verified tuition, university payments, living costs and other authorised charges.
  • Visit the academic campus: Check travel time, hostel arrangements, study spaces and access to the hospital.
  • Ask about clinical learning: Discuss student postings, supervision, emergency exposure and internship arrangements with the institution.
  • Understand payment and exit terms: Request written instalment, refund and discontinuation conditions before committing.

There is no single college that suits every student. A defensible preference order reflects your eligible seat category, course requirements, budget and ability to live and study at that campus.

Frequently asked questions

How many private MBBS colleges in Andhra Pradesh are covered here?

This guide covers 21 institutions in the referenced 2026–27 records: 20 Dr. NTR UHS-affiliated private colleges and GIMSR under GITAM. Check later NMC and counselling updates for changes.

Are private MBBS fees the same for every student?

No. The state fee depends on the seat category, and GIMSR publishes a separate schedule. Use the category on the allotment letter when checking the applicable tuition.

Is Category A admission the same as getting a government-college seat?

No. Category A is a Competent Authority seat category within a private college. The institution remains privately managed.

Can students from outside Andhra Pradesh apply?

Eligibility depends on the counselling route and seat category. Read the current B1/B2, NRI or deemed-university rules rather than assuming that every state-quota seat is open to all candidates.

Are hostel charges included in the tuition table?

The state tuition table should not be treated as a complete living-cost quotation. Obtain the institution’s written accommodation and mess details. GIMSR’s separately published hostel amount is shown in its section above.

Can a college guarantee direct MBBS admission after an enquiry?

An enquiry does not establish admission. Candidates must satisfy the applicable eligibility and complete the authorised counselling and reporting process.

Does every college in this list offer all MD/MS specialities?

No. Postgraduate departments and permitted seats differ by institution. Confirm the exact branch in the current NMC and counselling records.

Are the 2026–27 state fees fixed for the full course?

The cited state orders are interim for one academic year. They can be replaced by final determinations. Obtain the applicable fee statement for your admission and retain any later revision notice.

Plan your Andhra Pradesh medical-college shortlist

Start with the college directory, identify the seat categories for which you are eligible and compare the published fees with your available budget. Then use the official institution and counselling links to confirm the course, campus, reporting requirements and amount due before finalising your choices.
